Loeb & Loeb Welcomes Seasoned L.A. Transactional Tax Partner

Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that federal income tax law and compliance lawyer Shahrooz R. Shahnavaz has joined the firm as a partner. He represents high-net-worth individuals and families, private equity firms, and other corporate buyers and sellers across an array of industries including biotechnology, manufacturing, IT, retail, media, entertainment and real estate.

“Shahrooz has a wealth of experience in tax planning,” said Leah M. Bishop, co-chair of Loeb’s Trusts & Estates Practice. “He is adept at dealing with the sophisticated and nuanced issues our high-net-worth, family office and corporate clients face.”

Shahnavaz advises a diverse range of clients in federal and state tax issues related to domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and real estate and partnership transactions, among others.

Shahnavaz earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also earned an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he received the Thomas Bradbury Chetwood, S.J. Prize for the most distinguished academic performance leading to a degree in taxation.
