Obama Signs Trade Secrets Act Into Law

On Wednesday, May 11th, President Barack Obama signed into law one of the most significant changes to intellectual property law in decades, the Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016.  This will now allow companies to use federal law to sue individuals who misappropriate their confidential information.  Loeb & Loeb partner Douglas Masters is quoted on the law and its implications for companies and employers.
