Fifty companies submitted their proposals to an international design competition to revamp the iconic Pershing Square in Los Angeles. On Thursday, May 12, the French landscaping firm Agence Ter was selected as the winner. Loeb & Loeb partner Allan Abshez, who provides pro bono counsel to Pershing Square Renew, is quoted on the effort to revitalize the park. “We think we’ll get buy in from the commercial and residential industries,” he said. “Today, the park is a negative on the value of properties around the park. Most of the population wants to avoid it. So, we think owners will want to be a part of making this happen.”
