The issuance of “.com Disclosures: How to Make Effective Disclosures in Digital Advertising" ("Dot Com Disclosures") by the Federal Trade Commission ("FTC"), signifies potentially stepped up efforts to address consumer protection concerns with respect to digital advertising. Under the proposed guidance, Dot Com Disclosures take into account the expanding use of smart phones with small screens and the rise of social media marketing. Additionally, the guidance addresses compliance with FTC advertising disclosure requirements when conducting business through the latest generation internet technology like mobile apps, mobile websites, and social media. Finally, it will require servicers to submit documentation on their risk management programs and they will require enhanced procedures in order to comply with the new regs and avoid significant penalties.

In light of this, companies, marketing executives and compliance officers in the digital advertising industry and related segments must have a complete understanding of the proposed guidance. The Knowledge Group has assembled a panel of key thought leaders and practitioners to help participants get updates about the latest issues and best practices. Attendees will get the chance to join the live interaction with the speakers during the Q&A session.
