Loeb & Loeb LLP partner Walter Curchack will be a panelist at "The Subprime Crisis and its After-Effects" presented by TMA Pittsburgh.
Program description from the TMA Website:
Up until 2007, the housing market was a significant factor in fueling the United States economy for the better part of the last decade. Over the course of the past year, the so called "subprime crisis" has caused individuals, governments, and businesses here and abroad to struggle to deal with the economic and legal ramifications of the crisis which continues to unfold. The national attention provided to the subprime crisis has spilled over to many other markets including the high yield market, corporate lending markets, etc. Many individuals are speculating that this crisis will lead to liquidity issues among companies (both within and outside of the housing industry) and most likely to a higher level of bankruptcy filings. This panel will address the regulatory, legal and business developments which may have contributed to the problem, as well possible remedies.
