Loeb & Loeb LLP is proud to sponsor the New York Television Festival.
The NYTVF was founded in 2005 as the industry's first recognized platform for independent television. Held annually in the fall in New York City, the birthplace of television, the Festival unites artists, executives, industry figures, and fans together in one forum to celebrate the medium and to help shape its future. Along with the Independent Pilot Competition, the Festival features panel discussions, premiere screenings, and other special events designed to honor television as an institution and as an art form.
2007 marks the third year that Loeb & Loeb LLP has joined with the Festival to examine current and forward-looking trends in the industry as a sponsor of the NYTVF Panel Discussion Series.

Network Building on the Web:
Friday, September 7th at 5:00 PM, New World Stages (50th St. b/w 8th and 9th Aves.)
AGENDA SUMMARY:
With the Web increasingly viewed as a platform for delivering original video content to viewers, programming executives are confronted with the question of how to create new networks to present this content. This panel will address the questions faced by the developers of new networks created for online audiences and the varying approaches that have been successful. What elements of traditional TV networks should be reflected, and what innovations must take place as original content transitions from TV to the Web? Panelists will also discuss whether successful online networks are destined to be co-opted by traditional media companies or will challenge them as a viable competitor for viewers.
