Loeb & Loeb is pleased to announce that Laurie S. Ruckel, managing partner of the firm’s New York office, was honored by Crain’s New York Business in the publication's inaugural list of Leading Women Lawyers in New York City. The feature, published in Crain’s December 18 issue, acknowledges the most influential women lawyers across all practice areas who have impacted the city through their exceptional achievements and distinguished careers along with civic, philanthropic and mentoring activities.
According to the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Women in the Law, the recognition pays special tribute to women whose “stories are ones of fierce determination, passion for the law, keen intelligence, and inspiring achievement.”
In addition to her office management role, Laurie serves as deputy chair of Loeb & Loeb’s nationally recognized Trusts and Estates Department. Her practice is focused on estate and succession planning, estate taxation and estate and trust administration. Her deep experience encompasses wills and trust agreements, estate and gift tax audits, succession planning for closely held businesses and prenuptial agreements. Her principal clients are high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, real estate entities and executives of publicly held companies.
