Pro Bono Victory in Asylum Case

Successfully obtained asylum for a Salvadoran woman and her toddler son who fled to the United States to escape severe domestic abuse inflicted by the girl’s former boyfriend and father to her son. This pro bono case was jointly handled by Loeb & Loeb LLP in conjunction with Public Counsel’s Immigrants’ Rights Project.
A team of attorneys and professionals from Loeb & Loeb LLP successfully secured a grant of asylum for a young mother and her toddler son who fled El Salvador when the mother was just 16 years old following severe domestic abuse inflicted by the girl’s former boyfriend and father to her son. The ex-boyfriend, a high-ranking member of the MS-13 gang and perpetrator of hundreds of gang-related murders according to Salvadoran police, repeatedly beat Loeb’s client before, during and after her pregnancy, attempting to kill her on several occasions. Since escaping to the United States, the unaccompanied teen and her two-year-old son continued to receive death threats from the ex-boyfriend.
