Successfully defended major film studio in action involving claims for antitrust violations and idea theft. (Guichard v. Mandalay Pictures LLC & Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc.).
Defended MGM and Mandalay from trademark, unfair competition and antitrust claims based on their use of the title "Into the Blue" for their motion picture. Successfully defeated plaintiff's motion for preliminary injunction seeking to force MGM to change title of its film; defeated plaintiff's motion for injunction pending appeal to the Ninth Circuit.
