Affirmed trial court ruling in Guess v. Bernhardson

Affirmed trial court ruling that the California Code of Civil Procedure section 697.390 (“Judgment Lien on Real Property”) operates to cut off the amount of any lien created thereunder by virtue of the recordation of a judgment as of the time the underlying real property interest is transferred or encumbered and thus clarified an area of ambiguity in California law. Guess v. Bernhardson, 242 Cal. App. 4th 820 (2015).
