Coronavirus Preparedness at Loeb & Loeb

At Loeb, our people and our clients are our priority and we are committed to doing what we need to do to protect them and to doing what we can to stop the spread of COVID-19. We are closely following guidance issued by CDC, WHO and other state agencies as it relates to safety protocols and virus prevention tips. We believe now is the right time for our Firm to take additional measures and adjust how we operate on a day-to-day basis in light of this guidance.

With this in mind, effective today, we have implemented an alternative work arrangement across all of Loeb’s US offices. We have approved as many of our people as possible in each office – attorneys and staff – to work remotely. While our offices will remain open during this time, and we will have small teams in each office, we are shifting a large portion of our employees to remote working to proactively reduce the total number of people in each office per day. This means that it will be safer for our people, and it also means we’re doing our part to help with the density and commuting concerns in larger cities where we practice. This arrangement will be in place until our environments are deemed safer by public health officials and, of course, we will notify you when we shift back to normal business operations.

We have spent significant time over the last few weeks both testing and expanding our remote working capabilities. Many of our people already regularly work remotely and have full and safe access to relevant files and systems outside of the office. Our ISO27001 certified environment provides secure and seamless services to our clients, regardless of our physical location. Each of our departments recently underwent its own readiness exercise to identify the impact extended remote working may have on its ability to fully and effectively serve its clients and what, if any, proactive changes needed to be made in anticipation of a more sustained remote working environment. The results of these assessments confirmed that we will be able to maintain all of our operations under this alternative working arrangement for as long as necessary.

At Loeb, we live our brand language – “We’re all connected.” We look forward to staying connected with each of you in the coming weeks. Regardless of working arrangements, please rest assured that you can expect the same level of service, dedication and responsiveness you’ve always had. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this outbreak and we hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy. We are all looking forward to the resolution of this public health crisis, and a return to normalcy.
