Loeb & Loeb LLP announced a major expansion of its Trusts and Estates practice with the addition of Partners Lanny A. Oppenheim and C. Michael Spero; Associate Jennie E. Mooney; and Fiduciary Administrators Deanna Lerner, Malka Shafran and Ilene Turk. The group was previously at Salans in New York.
Mr. Spero and Mr. Oppenheim have substantial experience in all aspects of estate practice, including estate planning and administration. Mr. Spero, who was formerly chairman of Salans’ trusts and estates group in New York, is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Mr. Oppenheim also practices in the areas of executive counseling and employment law, representing executives in the negotiation of employment and severance agreements. He is retained by several major U.S. companies as principal personal planning advisor to their senior management.
“We are very fortunate to have such highly experienced and well-respected practitioners joining us,” said Bruce Wexler, Chair of Loeb & Loeb's National Tax and Wealth Services Section. “They are a great fit for our Trusts and Estates Group and will enhance other practice areas of our firm.”
“This move is right for us and for our clients,” said Mr. Spero. “We wanted to be part of a strong, national trusts and estates group with the quality and credibility to support the continued expansion of our practice.”
