Safia Gray Hussain focuses her practice on trust and estate litigation, representing beneficiaries, fiduciaries and other interested parties in contested proceedings. Drawing on nearly two decades of litigation experience, she helps clients navigate complex disputes with practical, strategic counsel.
Prior to transitioning her practice to trust and estate litigation, Safia represented clients in a broad range of complex disputes spanning commercial litigation, including media and entertainment, intellectual property, consumer class actions, privacy, false advertising and other high-stakes business matters. She advised studios, production and distribution companies, creators, celebrities and other businesses in litigation involving copyright and trademark infringement, idea submission, breaches of motion picture and television-related agreements, rights of publicity, misappropriation of likeness, defamation and other complex claims.
Safia’s prior practice also included defending class actions involving consumer privacy and protection, false and deceptive advertising, unfair competition, consumer fraud, compliance with FTC and FDA regulations, and other regulatory matters.
Additionally, Safia has defended and helped clients resolve various commercial and business tort litigations, ranging from breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty to trade secrets and fraud. She has litigated cases in both state and federal courts and represented clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings and appellate proceedings. She is licensed in both California and New York.
