David Kostman’s practice focuses primarily on real estate finance, with a concentration on the origination, sale, securitization and servicing of commercial mortgage loans. He represents local, regional and national lending institutions as well as real estate developers and investors. David also has experience in office and retail leasing, construction and development, and purchases and sales of real estate.

Select examples of David's experience include:

  • Representation of regional cooperative bank in the origination, securitization and servicing of mortgage loans, including defeasance, loan assumptions and workout matters across all spectrums of public and private CMBS and Agency transactions.
  • Representation of lending institutions in connection with Delegated Underwriting and Servicing and CMBS issuance in transactions with Fannie Mae.
  • Representation of landlords and tenants in ground lease and sale-leaseback matters.
  • Representation of real estate developer in the construction, financing and disposition of major condominium project in New York City.
  • Representation of New York City agency in connection with retail leasing activity in Grand Central Station.
  • Representation of Pro-Bono clients in connection with LGBTQ advancement and civil rights matters.
