Overview

Kensington (Kensi) Wolgamott supports tax-exempt organizations at every step, from assisting clients during their formation and tax-exemption application process, to helping them achieve their program’s goals while navigating complex legal and regulatory requirements. Kensi works closely with a variety of tax-exempt organizations to improve their governance and enhance their tax compliance. This includes advising a variety of nonprofit organizations in structuring corporate transactions and restructurings, advising nonprofit boards on best practices and fiduciary obligations, representing clients during IRS audits, and monitoring new and proposed legislation that could impact various tax-exempt clients of the firm. In addition, she works with high net worth individuals and families to establish family foundations and donor-advised funds.

Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb, Kensi served as an associate in the tax group of a large international law firm.

Kensi is admitted to the bars of the States of Illinois and Washington; her application for admission in the District of Columbia is pending. She is practicing under the direct supervision of an enrolled, active member of the District of Columbia Bar.
