Nina Ruvinsky focuses her practice on representing corporations and individuals in complex litigation matters. She advises clients on internal investigations and government inquiries, commercial disputes, employment matters, and advertising disputes.

Nina has experience in all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions and taking witnesses at trial, drafting dispositive and appellate briefs, arguing summary judgment motions and other substantive matters before the court, and defending cases at trial. Nina has second-chaired a federal criminal bench trial and third-chaired a civil jury trial, in which the team successfully defended a defamation action and obtained a jury verdict entirely in the defendants’ favor. Nina has also drafted U.S. Supreme Court briefs and is a member of the U.S. Supreme Court bar. 

In her investigations and white collar practice, Nina has conducted investigative interviews, participated in meetings with government investigators and company boards, and participated in all aspects of investigations, findings of fact and preparation of responsive strategies. Her investigations experience includes federal criminal and civil investigations, state attorneys general enforcement, and company internal investigations. 

Nina also maintains an active pro bono practice, including the representation of asylum seekers in immigration proceedings. She was named a “Rising Star” in Pro Bono by the National Immigrant Justice Center. She is a member of the Chicago office’s Pro Bono Committee. 

Outside the office, Nina is actively engaged in the community, including as an Associates’ Board member of the Chicago Debate Commission, a nonprofit organization that facilitates an urban debate league in Chicago Public Schools, the largest program of its kind in the nation.
