Loeb & Loeb Elects 9 Attorneys to Partnership

Loeb & Loeb LLP is pleased to announce the election of nine attorneys to the firm’s partnership. Representing a diverse cross-section of the firm’s practice areas and four of Loeb & Loeb’s offices, the new partners are: Tal Dickstein, Theodore F. Duver, Kevin Garlitz, Melanie J. HowardBrian Nixon, Ronelle C. Porter, Stefan Schick, Erin M. Smith and William J. Voller III.

The following is brief biographic information about each of the newly promoted partners.

Tal Dickstein – Litigation, New York
Tal Dickstein maintains a broad-based litigation practice with a concentration on intellectual property matters in the music, motion picture and advanced media industries. Dickstein received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, where he was Order of the Coif.

Theodore F. Duver – Litigation, New York
Ted Duver focuses on the representation of energy and utility companies on compliance issues and in regulatory proceedings and complex litigation matters before state and federal regulatory agencies and courts. Duver earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School.

Kevin GarlitzEntertainment, Los Angeles
Kevin Garlitz maintains a broad-based transactional entertainment practice with a concentration in film, television, commercial and digital media development, production, financing and distribution, as well as commercial endorsements and branded entertainment. Garlitz received his J.D. from New York University School of Law.

Melanie J. HowardAdvanced Media and Technology, Los Angeles
Melanie Howard counsels clients on intellectual property, technology, privacy and data security issues within the context of both litigation and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing, endorsement deals and other complex commercial transactions. Howard received her J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Brian Nixon – Advanced Media and Technology, Washington, DC
Brian Nixon advises on a wide variety of matters related to advertising, technology, emerging media and privacy, with particular emphasis on advising clients that are implementing targeted advertising strategies and other data-driven marketing initiatives across various media channels.  Nixon received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School.

Ronelle C. Porter – Capital Markets and Corporate, New York
Ronelle Porter focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, securities, corporate governance, complex commercial transactions and general corporate matters across a wide range of industries. Porter earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Stefan Schick – Entertainment, New York
Stefan Schick primarily represents clients in all aspects of creating, financing and producing Broadway and other live stage productions, including film studios, producers, investors, authors, directors, designers, music publishers and other rights owners. Schick received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.

Erin M. Smith – Employment and Labor, Los Angeles
Erin Smith maintains a litigation and transactional practice focusing on labor and employment matters, including litigation of employment disputes, negotiation of agreements, employment advice and policy implementation. Smith received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.

William J. Voller III – Patent Litigation and Counseling, Chicago
William Voller counsels clients in a variety of intellectual property matters, focusing on patent litigation and prosecution in the electronic and computer arts. Voller earned his J.D., with honors, from the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
