Loeb & Loeb Expands Corporate Practice in Chicago with Addition of Partner Ross D. Emmerman

CHICAGO – Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that Ross D. Emmerman has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Corporate Department, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience in public and private mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, venture capital and private equity financings, as well as general corporate counseling and private wealth services. Most recently, he was a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice at Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP in Chicago.

Throughout the course of his career, Emmerman has played a key role in helping private and public companies negotiate mergers and acquisitions, raise capital and form joint ventures. He counsels businesses at every stage of their life cycle, and also regularly represents high net-worth individuals and family offices with a wide variety of matters, including investing, corporate structuring and entity formation, contract negotiations and executive employment matters.

Emmerman has experience representing clients in a variety of industry sectors, including technology, transportation, business services, heavy construction, manufacturing, distribution, health care, travel and leisure, insurance, gaming, and parking garage acquisitions and management. Companies that Emmerman has worked with include: TransUnion Corp., Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd., Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company, Interpark Holdings, LLC and Gary Comer, Inc., among others.

In the local community, Emmerman serves as a Trustee and Treasurer of Chicago Sinai Congregation, one of America's oldest and most distinguished Reform synagogues. He is also a member of The University of Michigan Ross School of Business Alumni Club of Chicago. He served for a decade on the board of directors of Heartland Alliance, a 100-year-old service-based human rights organization focused on helping the most poor and vulnerable in society succeed.

Emmerman, who is a Certified Public Accountant, earned his J.D., with honors, from The George Washington University Law School, and his B.B.A., with honors, from the University of Michigan.
