Loeb & Loeb Handles 7 of the Top Manhattan Office Leases in the First Half of 2017

Loeb & Loeb LLP handled seven of Manhattan's 34 largest office leases (based on square footage) in the first half of 2017, according to a report published in Crain's New York Business based on data provided by CoStar Group. These seven deals alone represent more than 2 million square feet leased during the first six months of 2017.

Loeb & Loeb represented Ivanhoé Cambridge and its partner Callahan Capital Properties, as landlord, in a lease of 793,687 square feet of office space to 21st Century Fox, extending its existing lease through 2025 and expanding its space by nearly 130,000 square feet across three floors.

Also at 1211 Avenue of the Americas, Loeb & Loeb represented Ivanhoé Cambridge and its partner Callahan Capital Properties, as landlord, in a lease of 443,586 square feet of office space to News Corp. for its corporate headquarters through 2027.

The firm provided tenant’s counsel to the digital division of a leading financial services company in connection with its 15 year lease of more than 300,000 square feet of office space at 5 Manhattan West, located at 450 West 33rd Street in New York City. The lease expands the bank’s office space in the building from 125,000 square feet to 428,000 square feet.
