Ava Badie maintains a broad entertainment practice shaped by the rapidly evolving landscape of media and content. Her work spans traditional scripted and unscripted film and television projects as well as emerging forms of entertainment and innovative platforms, including  digital-first content, streaming, live events, interactive experiences, advertising, endorsements, podcasts, live stage productions, and the use of artificial intelligence in content creation and distribution.

Ava represents a wide range of clients—including content creators and influencers, celebrities, production and distribution companies, brands, advertising agencies, public broadcasters, music publishers, sports companies, television networks, live event organizers and media conglomerates—at every stage of production, from development to distribution. She focuses on structuring strategic, innovative deals that meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industry and support the future of storytelling.

Ava advises clients on a variety of transactions and commercial matters, including talent and celebrity endorsement deals, development and production agreements, co-production and distribution deals, and other key entertainment and media contracts.  Her practice also emphasizes digital-first opportunities, such as brand integrations, influencer and social media campaigns, product placements, branded content, and broader content strategy.

In addition, Ava advises clients on guild and union matters, ensuring compliance with SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA, IATSE and Teamsters agreements. She represents companies in collective bargaining negotiations and counsels clients on labor matters, production risk mitigation and talent-related issues. Ava conducts workplace investigations, provides harassment and discrimination trainings, drafts employment policies and provides preventative counsel on workplace culture and compliance—often in collaboration with C-suite leadership and HR executives to align legal risk with business priorities. She also has experience representing clients in complex entertainment and IP litigation matters.

As a member of Loeb & Loeb’s Pro Bono Committee, Ava is passionate about addressing the issue of unequal access to the legal system through her pro bono service. She is active in legal organizations in the Los Angeles community and is committed to using her platform to expand access to justice, elevate ethical industry practices and foster the next generation of legal talent.
