Loeb Represents LightWave Acquisition in $216.6 Million Initial Public Offering

Loeb & Loeb represented LightWave Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company, in its $216.6 million initial public offering on the Nasdaq Global Market.

The offering included 21,562,500 units priced at $10.00 each, which includes the full exercise of the underwriters’ over-allotment option. Each unit consists of one Class A ordinary share and one-half of one redeemable warrant. The units are listed under the ticker symbol “LWACU,” and the Class A shares and warrants are expected to trade under “LWAC” and “LWACW,” respectively, once the units begin separate trading.

LightWave intends to use the net proceeds from the offering and a concurrent private placement to pursue a business combination, with an initial focus on the technology sector.

The Loeb team included Capital Markets partner David Levine and senior counsel Terry Bokosha.
