Overview

Paul Severin’s practice primarily consists of the representation of financial institutions in bilateral and syndicated secured and unsecured lending and finance transactions, including private equity co-investment facilities, subscription finance facilities, management company facilities, securities-based lending, asset-based lending, derivatives, private equity and hedge fund transactions. Additionally, Paul advises broker-dealers with respect margin lending and other related regulatory matters.

Paul also has extensive experience in general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions and securities matters, including private placements, venture capital transactions, joint ventures and general corporate representation of clients in a variety of day–to-day matters.

Paul’s clients range from established and major multi-national financial institutions and public companies to start-up companies and individuals.

Paul has been involved in firm management serving on various committees, including the firm’s Board of Partners. Paul has previously served as the Los Angeles Office Managing Partner and most recently, he served as Vice-Chair of the firm from 2017 to 2024.
