Robert Sangalang is a paralegal in the firm's Trusts and Estates Practice. Focusing primarily on estate planning matters, Robert has experience in drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorneys and documents and filings in relation to the formation of limited liability documents.
While in law school, Robert served as Student Tax Counsel at the Tax Appeals Assistance Program, a pro bono tax clinic at Golden Gate University School of Law. In that role, he handled disputes on a wide array of tax controversy matters with the California Board of Equalization (BOE) on behalf of various individuals, and communicated with auditors, settlement officers, and clients on tax matters including factual and legal case research and determination, client advising, auditor negotiations and requests, tax penalties, interest accruals, and tax adjustments regarding clients on a case-by-case basis.
