Melissa Hazel is a paralegal providing key intellectual property support to clients in the entertainment and media industries. She has experience assisting songwriters and musicians with copyright terminations, recaptures, assignments and general filings with the Copyright Office. Melissa also prepares initial trademark applications, office action responses, statements of use and trademark specimens of use on behalf of her clients, their companies and brands.
Among her more notable experience, Melissa assists the John R. Cash Revocable Trust and the Estate of Riley B. King with various intellectual property matters, including domain maintenance, trademark portfolio maintenance including but not limited to trademark renewals, new trademark filings, liaison with foreign associates to maintain marks abroad, and also the monitoring of infringing marks and illegal merchandise.
