Brian Hayes maintains a litigation and transactional practice focusing on employment and labor matters, including federal, state (NY, NJ, CT), and arbitration cases.
Brian’s experience includes counselling clients on a broad range of employment law issues including employment agreements, severance and release agreements, restrictive covenants and trade secrets, employee handbooks and policies, RIFs and OWBPA compliance, leaves of absence, accommodations, wage and hour compliance, independent contractor status, agency charges (e.g., EEOC, NLRB, OSHA, NYS/CHRL, CHRO), and employment law developments.
Prior to joining the firm, Brian was an employment law associate at an international firm in New York, where his practice was a blend of litigation and client counselling. Before becoming a lawyer, Brian spent nearly a decade in various HR professional roles in the energy and telecommunications industries.
