Susan Gabriel is a commercial real estate lawyer representing landlords and tenants on commercial leasing issues, as well as purchasers and sellers in the sale, acquisition and financing of commercial and residential real estate.
Susan regularly drafts and negotiates office and retail space leases, renewals, extensions, amendments, sublease and assignment agreements, construction and architecture agreements, and property management agreements. She has a deep understanding of the New York City leasing market and her notable experience includes negotiating and drafting retail leases and construction agreements for international luxury fashion industry tenants.
Prior to joining Loeb, Susan served as senior supervising counsel for New York City’s Department of Citywide Administrative Services, where she was responsible for commercial office leasing for city agencies. During her first 18 months with DCAS, Susan successfully drafted and negotiated leases (with construction component) totaling over 1 million square feet of office space.
