Overview
Shely Berry focuses on the collection, use, processing, analysis, storage, transferring and monetization of data. In particular, Shely handles data privacy matters related to interest-based advertising, privacy policies, mobile apps, blockchain, cloud computing, smart devices and data analytics. She works with clients to establish the legality of potential projects and products, and she performs privacy due diligence to help companies circumvent security incidents and data breaches.
Shely often assists clients with the creation of privacy and data security programs and policies in order to ensure compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and HIPAA, among other data privacy laws. She also drafts and negotiates master services agreements, data processing addendums, vendor contracts, SaaS agreements, privacy policies and terms of use.
