Terri Baron serves as a trusted advisor to individuals, multigenerational families, family offices and corporate fiduciaries on estate and wealth planning matters. Terri has extensive experience developing customized estate plans and advising clients on creative wealth transfer techniques. Her expertise encompasses gift and generation-skipping transfer tax issues, wealth transfer planning, charitable giving and closely held business succession issues. She takes a comprehensive approach to meet her clients’ objectives, balancing tax and non-tax goals and building relationships to understand each client’s unique family dynamics.
Terri has significant experience advising corporate fiduciaries on trust and estate administration, charitable organization compliance, and contested trust matters. Prior to joining Loeb, Terri served as Trust Counsel at a premier national bank, where she developed a strong understanding of the Trusts and Estates line of business. While there, she worked closely with trust officers, wealth advisors and senior management on a broad range of matters, from modifying irrevocable trusts through decantings and nonjudicial settlement agreements, to addressing the complex issues of trust situs and taxation. Terri also regularly counseled her business partners on fiduciary best practices and risk management, adeptly navigating sensitive matters.
