Loeb Restructuring & Bankruptcy partner Daniel Besikof appeared as a special guest on Bloomberg Law’s “On The Merits” recent podcast episode “Crypto Winter Means Hard Work for Bankruptcy Lawyers,” where he discussed some of the distinguishing factors behind cryptocurrency platforms filing for bankruptcy.
“You just see a risk tolerance in this industry that is really through the roof. A lot of these companies grew quickly and became very large on the back of a founder who is in some ways a visionary,” Dan said.
In talking through the founders’ different perspectives, Dan commented, “Unlike in a lot of other companies that are managed by professional CEOs, these are people who raised and grew their companies from nothing, and therefore have a different viewpoint than what professional management might have.”
