Loeb & Loeb Welcomes New Bankruptcy Partner Schuyler Carroll

Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that Schuyler Carroll has joined the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights Practice as a partner. Based in New York, Schuyler advises clients on a broad range of restructuring matters, including chapter 11 cases, distressed acquisitions, litigation and counseling work. He has represented committees, creditors and debtors in a variety of landmark cases, and also counsels parties regularly on potential bankruptcy issues relating to other strategic transactions. 

Schuyler regularly represents companies in distressed situations, facing financial issues and debtors in chapter 11 cases, as well as buyers and sellers of distressed debt and equity and acquirers of assets from insolvent and bankrupt companies. Schuyler also handles enforcement of creditors’ rights, and litigation in creditors’ rights, in both state and federal courts.

Over the course of his career, Schuyler has played a major role in a variety of industry-defining bankruptcy cases, including Westinghouse, Toys"R"Us, MF Global, American Airlines, Planet Hollywood International Inc., BHS&B Holdings Inc. (Steve & Barry's), eToys Direct, American Media Inc., Fairpoint Communications, Nortel Networks and Ciber Inc.

Schuyler earned his J.D., cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law and his B.A. from Binghamton University, State University of New York.
