Loeb & Loeb Expands Leading Entertainment Practice with Addition of Media Executive

Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that Los Angeles-based Andrew Kramer has joined the firm as a partner in its Entertainment practice. Kramer has more than 25 years of experience in independent film and television production and distribution with leading global entertainment companies. Most recently he launched, and served as CEO of, Global Entertainment Strategies, Inc.

A seasoned executive holding a number of high-level positions in major film companies, Kramer served as Chief Operating Officer, International Distribution, at Lionsgate where he was instrumental in substantially expanding the company’s international theatrical distribution, finance and operational structure. His broad experience includes international management and exploitation of motion picture and television content, legal issues, business affairs, and film finance, production, and distribution.

Kramer oversaw the international distribution and release of several successful theatrical motion picture franchises, including The Hunger Games series, the Divergent series, Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2, the John Wick series, and the Oscar winning musical La La Land, among others. He was also involved both in the structuring and exploitation of Oscar-winning films Silver Linings Playbook, Django Unchained, The Artist and The King’s Speech, in addition to other film and television projects, including the Scary Movie, Scream and Halloween franchises along with Project Runway, Marco Polo and the Scream television series.

Kramer currently serves as General Vice Chairperson of the Executive Committee for The Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA), the global trade association for the independent motion picture and television industry.

Kramer earned his J.D. from Southwestern Law School and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.
