New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced a settlement agreement with a New York-based tanning salon chain accused of making deceptive health claims, which downplay the risks of skin cancer. Loeb & Loeb partner David Mallen is quoted on the significance of the settlement saying marketers should take note that this case “goes beyond claim substantiation and addresses the way tanning services are advertised.”
