Susan Williams has more than 20 years of experience structuring and advising on the legal and business aspects of sophisticated debt and equity transactions for motion pictures, and the distribution of motion pictures both domestically and internationally.

Over the past several years Ms. Williams has handled more than $2 billion in film financing transactions involving slate deals, overall company capital raises and single picture deals. She routinely handles transactions from all sides of the table, acting for financial institutions, major independent production companies, high net worth individuals, completion guarantors, and distributors. She also assists her clients in obtaining soft money benefits, which are critical for providing financing for independent motion pictures and in negotiating and structuring complex multi picture distribution and co-financing agreements with major studios and with international distribution companies.

In the past year, Ms. Williams has played a leading role in advising her clients in the distribution and financing of more than 50 motion pictures, on behalf of both major independent film producers and financial institutions.

Ms. Williams has lectured and spoken at a variety of industry events and has been interviewed about film finance issues for various trade publications, including Daily Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.
