Robert Lachenauer’s principal clients are banking and financial services entities, large and midsize foreign and domestic commercial banks and insurance companies, start-up companies, and telecommunications and media organizations.

Mr. Lachenauer concentrates his practice on asset securitization and structured finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, secured and unsecured lending, workouts and restructurings, joint ventures, corporate finance and general corporate representation.

Representative Experience

  • Representation of a leading television production studio in a $300 million asset securitization transaction supported by the future cash flows from syndication of the clients' library of television programs
  • Representation of a global investment bank in a $100 million asset securitization transaction for a prominent talent agency involving the future cash flows from commissions generated by the agency's representation of its stable of talent.
  • Representation of a division of a leading financial services company in the formation, structuring and investment in a $475 million fund to acquire interests in commercial real estate properties
  • Representation, as sole outside counsel, of the premier provider of independent administration, ownership and directorship services to the asset securitization and structured finance industry, working on an average of 18 transactions a year, with financing capacity in the tens of billions of dollars, and structures ranging from commercial paper and medium term and extendable notes, to equity funds and structures focusing on derivative financial products, to Australian residential mortgages
  • Representation of the seller in the sale of a closely-held financial services business to an Australian publicly-traded company for $16 million
