Rob Andalman represents clients in business-related disputes, civil and criminal, at the trial and appellate levels. He also counsels clients how to avoid these disputes.
In civil matters, Mr. Andalman prosecutes and defends commercial lawsuits to resolution in federal and state courts across the country. He represents Fortune 500 companies, privately-held ventures and individuals, in all manner of business cases, including consumer and other class actions and significant contract disputes. In addition, he advises his clients on compliance with consumer laws, unclaimed property law and other regulated aspects of business conduct.
In criminal matters, Mr. Andalman conducts internal investigations of fraud or abuse for his clients, advises them in response to federal grand jury subpoenas and criminal investigations and defends them if they are charged. He has represented companies and individuals, primarily in federal court, in criminal cases from Massachusetts to California. These cases have included alleged violations of RICO, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the False Claims Act, health-care fraud, bank fraud, mail fraud, securities fraud, perjury, tax and other offenses. Mr. Andalman also counsels both public and private clients on compliance with federal criminal law.
Mr. Andalman has briefed and argued multiple appeals that have resulted in published decisions in the United States Court of Appeals for the First, Third, Sixth, Seventh and Ninth Circuits, as well as the Illinois Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court. He has twice briefed petitions for certiorari to the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Andalman is a contributing author to the Loeb & Loeb LLP Advanced Media Technology Law blog.

Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb LLP, Mr. Andalman was a partner in the Chicago office of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP.
