Loeb & Loeb attorneys Mickey Mayerson, Stephen L. Saltzman and Susan Zuckerman Williams have been selected by The Hollywood Reporter as three of “Hollywood’s Top 20 Dealmakers of 2016.” The list highlights the lawyers, advisers and bankers behind the entertainment and media industry’s biggest deals of the year.
The profile describes Mayerson as “one of the best-known lawyers for finding banks and high-net-worth individuals to help filmmakers realize dream projects,” mentioning his work for Warren Beatty's Rules Don't Apply and Don Cheadle's Miles Ahead. It goes on to highlight Williams’ 25 years of industry experience handling complex film finance and slate deals, including recent work with Wes Anderson to continue his partnership with Indian Paintbrush for a stop-motion animated film.
Saltzman is recognized separately as “a key adviser for Chinese companies looking at Hollywood investments” for his work advising Huayi Brothers Media in the creation of a $260 million joint venture with Joe and Anthony Russo, as well as his representation of Zhejiang Tangde in a $60 million deal with Talpa Global for multiple seasons of The Voice of China.
