Crumb’s Abrupt Exit Leaves Questions for Landlords

Loeb & Loeb bankruptcy partner Gregory Schwed and real estate partner Raymond Sanseverino are quoted on Crumbs Bake Shop’s overnight closing of all 48 locations. Reports indicate that the company is close to filing for Chapter 7 liquidation. Schwed commented on the curious nature of Crumb’s shutdown before starting formal bankruptcy proceedings, and he and Sanseverino discussed the implications for landlords who are left holding the leases that Crumbs dumps.
