Loeb & Loeb Represents North Shore-LIJ in Strategic Alliance with OPKO Health for Genetic Testing

Loeb & Loeb LLP represented North Shore-LIJ Health System, one of the nation’s largest health systems, in a strategic alliance with OPKO Health, Inc. for genetic testing and support services, including the formation of a limited liability company between North Shore-LIJ Laboratories and OPKO’s BioReference Laboratories division.

Loeb & Loeb partner Kenneth Adler, chair of the firm’s Technology and Outsourcing Practice, and corporate partner Barry Mehlman led the deal team together with Laurence Kraemer, Deputy General Counsel and Vice President of Legal Affairs for North Shore-LIJ, which is changing its name in January 2016 to Northwell Health.
