Mickey Mayerson

Mickey Mayerson is considered one of the leading film finance lawyers in the US. Since 2006, he has acted for clients in connection with more than $3 billion in financing transactions ranging from studio slate financings to the funding of single pictures. During this time period, Mr. Mayerson has been involved in the establishment of a number of new companies in the entertainment industry, as well as in the creation of a number of new mezzanine and equity film funds. His wide-ranging expertise includes project financing, lines of credit, securitization transactions, co-financing, co-productions and tax-advantaged financing transactions.

Mr. Mayerson represents commercial banks, hedge funds, high net worth investors and various other financial institutions investing capital primarily in the motion picture industry. He also represents distributors, both domestically and internationally, in all forms of licensing and distribution transactions with content owners, including single picture acquisition transactions as well as output deals. Additionally, numerous production companies use Mr. Mayerson as their general outside counsel.

Mr. Mayerson also serves in administrative roles at Loeb & Loeb as the managing partner of the Los Angeles office, chair of the firm's Entertainment Finance Practice Group, and co-chair of the firm’s Corporate Media and Entertainment Practice Group.
