Michael Kinney has been with Loeb & Loeb since 1989 and represents purchasers and sellers of real property and real property interests, borrowers and lenders, and landlords and tenants.

His practice includes a significant amount of development work and national office leasing, representing clients such as accounting and law firms, local and national landlords, financial institutions, developers and individuals. Mr. Kinney also has extensive experience in all types of retail leasing, representing landlords and a number of international, national and regional retailers.

Representative Experience

  • Represented Google Inc., as tenant, in connection with (i) the expansion, extension and restatement of its leases in two buildings in the complex known as Cambridge Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, (ii) the negotiation of a new lease in one of the other buildings in such complex, and (iii) an agreement for the construction of new buildings connecting the existing buildings in order to create a campus setting, for office space aggregating approximately 300,000 square feet.
  • Representation of one of the big four U.S. accounting firms, as tenant, in an office lease transaction for seven (7) full floors, consisting of approximately 140,000 square feet, in 1601 Market Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • Representation of one of the big four U.S. accounting firms, as tenant, in an office lease transaction for six full floors, consisting of approximately 115,000 square feet, in Two Financial Center, Boston, Massachusetts
  • Representation of landlord, an affiliate of the Mika Realty Group, in the leasing of four floors in the historic Union Trust Building in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, consisting of approximately 185,000 square feet, to Siemens Real Estate, Inc.
  • Representation of a major national law firm, as tenant, in a twenty year lease covering four full floors, containing approximately 155,000 square feet, in an office building on Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan
  • Representation of one of the world’s leading financial management and advisory companies in connection with the $32,000,000 sale of a hotel/conference and training center in New Jersey
  • Representation of the same client in connection with their $20,000,000 purchase of a data center in Pennsylvania and their simultaneous $4,000,000 purchase of the equipment from the former tenant of the property
  • Representation of a precious metals dealer as tenant in a lease transaction for the entire 50th floor at 40 Wall Street, The Trump Building. The 10-year commercial lease on approximately 10,000 square feet of office space marked the first time The Trump Organization has ever accepted Gold Bullion as a security deposit
