Mark Campbell is engaged in a broad range of litigation matters, including trademark, copyright, unfair competition, complex commercial disputes, employment and appeals.

Mr. Campbell represents a wide array of clients including media companies, biotechnology firms, insurers, financial institutions and religious organizations.

Representative Experience

  • Obtained $2.1 million judgment in Lanham Act false advertising trial (PomWonderful LLC v. Purely Juice, Inc., et al.)
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of bottled water manufacturer in trademark infringement/false advertising action (CG Roxane v. Fiji Water Company, et al., 569 F. Supp. 2d 1019 (2008))
  • Obtained dismissal in patent infringement action, (affirmed, Evans v. Roller Derby Inc., 2007-1368, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit)
  • Obtained preliminary injunction and seizure order in trade dress action (Natural Waters of Viti, Ltd. v. Bailey, Faux, McDougal & Williams, Inc.)
  • Obtained preliminary injunction in false comparative advertising case under the Lanham Act (PomWonderful LLC v. Naked Juice Company of Glendora, Inc.)
  • Obtained temporary restraining order and permanent injunction in action for civil harassment and trespass (PomWonderful LLC v. Biroc, et al.)
  • Represented Bertelsmann AG and its former CEO Thomas Middelhoff against two former executives who sought $3.5 billion for their claimed role in the establishment of AOL Europe
  • Served as one of the lead trial lawyers in Barton v. Alexander Hamilton Life Ins. Co., 110 Cal. App. 4th 1640 (2003), a case of first impression on the standard of proof to be applied on a nonsuit motion to a claim for punitive damages
