NASHVILLE – Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that John P. Strohm has joined the firm's Nashville office as senior counsel in the Music Industry Practice. Strohm joins Loeb & Loeb from Alabama-based Johnston Barton Proctor & Rose LLP, where he practiced in the firm's Business and Tax Group.
Strohm has extensive experience negotiating agreements related to music publishing, recording, distribution and emerging media, including numerous transactions with major and independent record labels and music publishers. As a former professional recording and touring artist, he understands both the business and creative issues faced by individuals and companies in the music industry.
Loeb & Loeb’s Nashville office was founded more than 15 years ago by John T. Frankenheimer, Chair of the firm’s Music Industry Practice Group. “John’s experience as a recording and touring artist will greatly inform his work for our clients based in Nashville and around the world,” said Frankenheimer. “Our team in Nashville is poised to handle almost any legal or business matter that arises in the music industry and John will be a great asset to that practice, as well as becoming an integral part of our national entertainment and media practice.”

In addition to his music practice, Strohm handles a range of intellectual property, real estate, and general corporate matters for an array of clients. He earned his B.A. cum laude from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, and his J.D. magna cum laude from the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Cumberland Law Review.
