Joseph F. Brazil
Senior Counsel

Joseph Brazil handles business and legal affairs on behalf of artists, record labels, writers, music publishers and others in the entertainment industry. He has extensive experience successfully handling a multitude of transactions and agreements relating to recorded products, music publishing, distribution, Internet and new media, graphic arts, advertising and promotions, contests and book publishing.

In addition, Mr. Brazil became a licensed patent attorney in 2005 and has negotiated license agreements and drafted patent applications for various methods and systems.

Prior Work Experience

Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb LLP, Mr. Brazil served as special counsel in the Entertainment and New Media Section at the Music Row office of Adams and Reese LLP.

Mr. Brazil has also served as vice president of business affairs for EMI Music in Nashville. In that capacity, he handled the business and legal affairs for Capitol Records Nashville and for EMI Music – Christian Label Group, whose rosters collectively included more than 50 recording artists. At EMI, he also supervised and oversaw those attorneys directly responsible for the business and legal affairs for various other EMI record labels and music publishers whose collective rosters included over 80 recording artists.
