Overview

Lauren Richards maintains a litigation, counseling and transactional practice that focuses on a wide range of employment and labor matters. Lauren has experience representing clients in connection with claims for discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and contract disputes before arbitral, state and federal forums. She has experience handling all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, overseeing discovery, and facilitating settlement negotiations.

In addition, Lauren has counseled clients on various aspects of employment relations, including hiring and termination, post-employment restrictive covenant drafting and enforcement, WARN Act compliance, and employee complaints. Lauren has assisted with investigations regarding allegations of sexual harassment by senior management, as well as disparate impact, pay equity and other concerns. She has conducted labor and employment due diligence in connection with corporate transactions and advised on employee-related matters stemming from corporate restructurings.

Lauren has maintained a robust pro bono practice, counseling nonprofits on their labor and employment practices and assisting with internal investigations.

Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb, Lauren was an associate in the labor and employment litigation group of an international law firm.
