Testimonials

The following testimonials are from law students who participated in Loeb & Loeb's Summer Associate Program:

In addition to an impressive array of clients, one of Loebs biggest selling points is the caliber of the attorneys who work here. Not only are they intelligent and respected in their fields, they are committed to guiding you in the early stages of your career. Here you receive assignments directly from the partners and have unparalleled access to them throughout the summer. Additionally, associates become not only mentors but also friends. It is these people who make Loeb a place you’re excited to go to every day.

I have had a wonderful time at Loeb this summer. I’ve received a wide variety of challenging work assignments and have been impressed with the freedom and creativity I’ve been allowed, combined with the superb guidance that I know is waiting just around the corner should I need it.

Loeb is a top firm with a tremendous array of clients and an amazing team of attorneys and staff. Yet the atmosphere here is engaging and cordial, and people really go out of their way to be friendly or just to see how you’re doing.

I’ve also been particularly impressed by the small things that characterize Loebinvitations to impromptu coffee breaks or my assigning partner coming upstairs to my office to explain a project to me.  These are just minor details, perhapsbut when you add them all up, they do make a big difference when you wake up to go to work in the morning.

My summer with Loeb included work on entertainment, corporate, trusts and estates, litigation and pro bono matters. The Loeb attorneys, both partners and associates, are at the top of their craft, and are free with their expert guidance. This, beyond all of the other wonderful experiences at Loeb, has been the most important factor in my delight with the summer program. I am a better writer and (future) lawyer because of my summer with Loeb.

Other perks include the instant reconcilability of so many of Loeb's clients, a relaxed office atmosphere, a gorgeous view of Century City, really fun co-workers and significant assignments throughout the summer. I do not know of another program that allows its summer associates comparable responsibility or independence, nor of a program that focuses so carefully upon the character of its attorneys and summer associates. The mixture of meaningful assignments and great people makes spending a summer at Loeb both rewarding and enjoyable.

Working as a summer associate at Loeb, I have certainly been challenged by the wide variety of assignments I have received. However, the most impressive aspect of the firm is its brilliant attorneys and amazing staffindividuals who are accomplished and intelligent, yet real and approachable. This makes Loeb & Loeb an ideal setting in which I can grow as a lawyer.
Kristen Minger, USC '06

Working at Loeb for the summer has been an excellent experience. I was impressed with both the immense knowledge of the attorneys as well as their warm demeanor. The attorneys and staff always had their door open and willingness to help. I was given a array of challenging assignments, which were followed by constructive feedback. Social events provided a great way to get to know Loeb’s amazing attorneys outside the office. Loeb is genuinely dedicated to the success of their summer associates and it shows!

Loeb has been a great place to spend my summer! Not only is each attorney exceptionally bright, but each is also approachable and down-to-earth. The firm went out of its way to respond to my interest in doing work in the corporate department. The work that I received in corporate was both interesting and challenging. The attorneys were always available to answer questions as they arose and gave me prompt feedback on each assignment.

Additionally, the events organized over the summer were fun and thoughtful and gave me the opportunity to get to know attorneys throughout the firm. After spending my summer at Loeb, I can say that it is truly a unique place.

...I have been able to work with a wide variety of both partners and associates, on an equally wide variety of topics. I have been especially thrilled by the opportunity to do meaningful work here.  I have seen my memos go out the door to clients virtually unchanged. With great coworkers and a full social calendar, what more could you hope for?
Elias Salameh, Georgetown '07

Working at Loeb has been a fantastic experience. The work is challenging, the clients are first-rate and the people are friendly. What has impressed me the most, however, is how accessible and down-to-earth all the attorneys are. Partners’ doors are always open, and you can always find someone willing to provide guidance or just to chat, no matter how busy they are. I never thought that I would find a firm where you see so many accomplished attorneys working in such a collegial environment. The attorneys at Loeb truly love working there, and now I understand why.
Kevin Schubert, UCLA '07

There is a tremendous sense of collegiality and camaraderie at Loeb. Partners took the time to educate me about matters I was working on. They also took the time to learn about me personally. I always felt as though the people I worked with appreciated what I was doing for them. This is unique for a major firm.
Evan Scibetta, Michigan '07

Loeb is the reason I decided to pursue a career in the law. ...I was delighted to discover a stimulating work environment fueled by dedication, enthusiasm and collegiality. ... Loeb has the unique ability to provide unparalleled legal services to a top-notch clientele while still maintaining the friendly, positive and enjoyable office atmosphere that has come to be synonymous with the firm. It is difficult for me to imagine wanting to work any place else.
Jessica Vail, Virginia '08

Being a summer associate at Loeb & Loeb requires an absolute rejection of the firmly established stereotypes of summer work. Here you will find neither stressed-out automatons slugging through insignificant work nor days devoid of work but replete with social outings. Instead, the quality of work is brilliantly blended with the quality of life.
