Denise Smith-Mars concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation, including statewide and multi-national class actions, consumer claims, mass tort actions, complex contract litigation, tort matters and securities cases.
Ms. Smith-Mars has extensive experience in high-stakes litigation and has successfully represented a wide range of clients in both federal and state court. Her clients include automobile manufacturers, automotive parts and service retailers, health care providers, banks, lenders, credit card processors, health and beauty manufacturer/retailers, chemical producers and entertainment producers.
Ms. Smith-Mars devotes significant time to pro bono work. She has received an award for distinguished pro bono service for representing an indigent man in a Section 1983 civil rights action before Judge Rosalyn M. Chapman of the Central District of California, as well as from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children for reuniting formerly abducted children with their mothers under the Hague Convention.
