Alexandra Letzel concentrates her practice on high net worth trust, probate, guardianship and conservatorship litigation, including will and trust contests, disputes regarding the obligations of fiduciaries and actions regarding the appointment of guardians and conservators.

Alexandra is part of a unique, nationally recognized team representing clients in some of the most high-profile, celebrity and complex trust and estate disputes in the country. Notably, Alexandra was part of a team that served as trial counsel to Sumner Redstone, controlling shareholder of Viacom Inc. and CBS Corp., securing complete dismissal of the lawsuit after the first day of trial.

Alexandra is an adept litigator, well-versed in navigating the complex legal, financial, and personal issues involved in trust and estate litigation. She is passionate about understanding the needs of her clients and the underlying family issues in her cases. This holistic approach to her practice makes Alexandra an effective advocate for clients.

Moreover, Alexandra’s dynamic and individualistic guardianship and conservatorship practices draw upon her experience interfacing with probate investigators, court-appointed counsel, and mental health professionals in addition to navigating detailed court oversight within highly sensitive cases. In her guardianship work, Alexandra utilizes her litigation skills to advocate for family and child-centered solutions that are in the best interests of the minor. Likewise, her conservatorship practice focuses on preserving the integrity of the proposed conservatee in complex and often emotionally-charged cases. In both her guardianship and conservatorship work, Alexandra strives to maintain the utmost confidentiality and privacy for her clients and their loved ones.

Clients come to me during some of the most painful and turbulent periods of their lives. Times when they need both a fierce advocate to help them weather the storm as well as a compassionate person who listens to them and understands the unique set of interpersonal dynamics involved in their litigation. I strive to ensure that clients feel like they are protected and heard.

Alexandra represents private and corporate fiduciaries, settlors, and individual and charitable beneficiaries. In both her pre-litigation advice work and litigated matters, she teams with Loeb & Loeb’s nationally recognized estate planning and tax controversy practices, giving her clients access to the most sophisticated estate and tax planning practitioners.

Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb, Alexandra was a judicial law clerk for the Los Angeles Superior Court, Probate Division, where she analyzed complex issues and disputes concerning decedents’ estates, trust litigation, guardianships, conservatorships and related civil matters. Alexandra’s prior experience and perspective are invaluable to her practice, which she uses in assisting clients and addressing their unique concerns and needs.
