Alcon Renews Vows with WB

May 14, 2008 | Variety

The subject of this article is Loeb & Loeb's representation of Alcon Entertainment in a $500 million film financing transaction with CIT, JPMorgan Chase Bank and Lehman Brothers, as well as a new five-year distribution agreement with Warner Bros. Under the terms of the agreement, Alcon will finance and produce and Warner Bros. will distribute a slate of up to 15 films including "P.S. I Love You," "One Missed Call" and "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2." The transaction coincides with Alcon's tenth anniversary of financing and producing motion pictures, including such titles as "My Dog Skip," "Insomnia," "Racing Stripes" and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants." Loeb & Loeb’s Scott Edel, Alcon's outside counsel since the company's inception, represented Alcon Entertainment in the transaction.
